Description
One volume of Hemingway family history created by Grace Hall Hemingway for her daughter Marcelline Hemingway Sanford, who was the eldest sister of Ernest Hemingway. This volume has 44 pages with 81 sepia-tone photographs, 8 cyanotypes, and 1 later glossy photograph. Unless noted, all original notes were written in black ink by Grace Hall Hemingway, with later (undated) notes in pencil or colored pencil or ink added by Marcelline Hemingway Sanford. This is volume 1 of 3 in the Clarke'sHemingway Family Photograph Album and Scrapbooks, 1898-1918collection.
